Recharge™

Azo Combination Program

What is Recharge™? The Recharge Program combines beneficial Azospirillum microbes with LEX™, a microbial stimulant. Early in the growing season, Recharge helps your turf establish a strong healthy root system to better withstand the stress of disease, heat, insects, and general wear and tear. When used early and late in the growing season, Recharge increases the plants' energy reserve and gears-up for winter. By stimulating root growth, Recharge increases the turf's uptake of water and nutrients, resulting in:

  • Earlier spring green-up
  • Greater efficiency from your fertility program
  • Rejuvenation from stress of the growing season
  • Healthy seedlings during overseeding
  • Preparation for winter

How does it work?
Azospirillum are beneficial nitrogen-fixing bacteria that seek out and colonize the surface of plant roots. While there, they produce plant growth promoters, specifically IAA (indole acetic acid). This promotes the formation of root hairs, dramatically increasing the roots' surface area. Similarly, the overall root mass and density increase, allowing for improved uptake of water and nutrients. This creates a more vigorous, healthy turf plant that is better able to withstand negative environmental pressures.

Recommended program for greatest benefit to your root system:

Recharge Begin using during Spring green-up
Root Revive Use during hot summer months. Root Revive features endomycorrhizae that act as physical extensions of the root system. These microbes perform best at warmer temperatures
Recharge Return to Recharge in the fall to increase your turf's energy reserves to survive the winter.
