Reopen
combines three components that work together:
- Bacillus
are beneficial bacteria that stimulate
soil aggregation and mineralization
of nutrients
- FreshPack
Microbial Stimulant provides
nutrients to enhance the activity
of introduced microbes
- OxyPlus
introduces a slowly released source
of oxygen into the rhizosphere
With
help from Reopen, your course will see:
-
Increased aeration and porosity
-
Aerobic conditions to combat black
layer
-
Improved root penetration through
soil
-
Better infiltration and percolation
rates
-
Increased plant vigor
-
Mineralization of nutrients
The
Problem...
When anaerobic conditions develop in soil,
a host of problems emerge. Plant roots
and beneficial bacteria are deprived of
oxygen they need for respiration, which
makes the turf weak and susceptible to
stress. At the same time, anaerobic conditions
lead to black layer and the production
of substances that hinder root growth.
Often, roots weaken and break off when
they encounter black layer.
The
Solution...
A breath of fresh air.
When hydrated, the magnesium peroxide
in OxyPlus gradually releases molecular
oxygen. This oxygen allows the root system
and beneficial bacteria to respire and
carry on essential processes, like active
transport of nutrients into the roots.
Sticking
together
At the same time, the Bacillus bacteria
increase soil porosity, allowing for diffusion
of the slowly-released oxygen. They do
this by secreting "sticky" polysaccharides
which bind neighboring soil particles
together, stimulating aggregation and
increased porosity.
