The Application Program
-
Program is eleven (11) total weekly
applications which will be divided into fall and spring segments.
The segmentation of the applications will be dependent on the
region of the country and customer needs.
- Program in Midwest, Northeast, and Mid
Atlantic Regions: Applications are to be made during early morning
or late evenings in the fall and should continue on weekly
intervals. The spring applications are to begin when leaf zone
noon temperatures rise above 65 degrees. The fall applications are
intended to initiate the infection process in the annual bluegrass
plant and stress the plants prior to onset of winter. The spring
applications are to continue the infection process and to cause
maximum reduction in Poa populations.
- The customer is committing to a program of
11 applications, and even if sufficient kill of Poa is
achieved following the first few applications, ongoing
applications will be necessary to continue to suppress the
development of c. The program is intended to shift the
population from Poa to the desirable turf species.
- Product will normally be provided for up to four acres per
customer (For larger acerage please consult the area sales
manager).
- Product will be shipped overnight directly
to the customer with icepacks in one-gallon containers. The
customer must agree to store this product in a refrigerator or on
ice prior to its use. The product must be removed from the
shipping container prior to refrigeration and used no later than 4
days after delivery.
- Xanthomonas will be provided in sufficient concentrations so that a minimum of 107 CFU/ml can be applied to the turf at a
rate of 100 gallons per acre. This is the rate that our field
trials have confirmed is effective. One gallon of Xanthomonas
will be mixed with 100 gallons of water and applied to one acre of turf.
